RESA Employee Referral Program Policy

RESA Power, LLC is always looking for good people, and you can help. Research has shown, and our own experience supports, that new hires who come into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors, stay with the company longer and are more cost-effective recruits.

If you know someone who would be a good addition to RESA, you may be awarded a referral bonus of up to $10,000 if you refer a candidate who is hired into a full-time job.

  • $10,000 for a Power System (NETA II, III, IV) Tech, TSM, Sr. Field Tech, or Breaker Tech III 
  • $8,000 for Engineer (Degree and P.Eng required), Breaker Tech II or Exempt Office
  • $7,000 for a Field Tech, Power System (NETA I) Tech, or PM
  • $6,000 for Non-Exempt Office & Warehouse Staff

Program Rules

  • All RESA employees or individuals who have accepted an offer of employment with RESA, except for Senior Management, Human Resources, and managers with hiring authority over the referred candidates are eligible for the referral bonus.
  • The referring employee must be employed by RESA on the pay date of any bonus in order to receive the bonus.
  • The referral date cannot be earlier than the date the job opening is posted. The hiring of a referred employee must occur within 180 days (six months) of the initial referral date.
  • The referral must represent the candidate’s first contact with RESA Power, LLC. Temporary, summer, contract and former employees of RESA are not eligible referral candidates for awards.
  • To be eligible for an award, an employee must submit the referral to Human Resources with a candidate referral form and a resume
  • The referring employee must agree to have his or her name used when the Company contacts the candidate.
  • The first employee to refer a candidate will be the only referring employee eligible for payment.
  • Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the position will be considered.
  • All candidates will be evaluated for employment consistent with Company policies and procedures.
  • All referral bonus payments will be paid as follows: 30% on the pay date following completion of the new hire’s 90th day of employment, 20% On the pay date following completion of the new hire’s 1-year anniversary and 50% On the pay date following completion of the new hire’s 2-year anniversary. Referral Bonuses are subject to standard payroll tax withholding.
  • Any disputes or interpretations of this employee referral program will be handled through Human Resources.

The basis of the referral program is to refer candidates who are not on the open market. Your referral will be valid for 6 months. After 6 months, if your referral is not hired, the referral will expire. It is our policy to pay a referral fee to a RESA Power employee who refers a qualifying candidate who is ultimately hired for one of our open positions and stays with us for at least 30 days.
